BT Studios is a video production company based in Encino, California. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit btstudios.com, hire us for a production, work on one of our productions as crew or talent, or communicate with us by email or text message. It covers this website and the services we provide.

Information you give us directly:

• Contact details. Name, email address, phone number, mailing address.
• Production and engagement details. Role, availability, call times, locations, deliverables, and other information needed to plan and run a shoot.
• Billing information. Payment details, invoices, tax forms, and vendor or crew payment records.
• Correspondence. Emails, text messages, and form submissions you send us.

Information collected automatically when you visit the site:

• IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page, and time of visit.
• Cookies and similar technologies used to operate the site and understand how it is used.

• To run productions. Scheduling, call sheets, call times, locations, parking, crew and talent coordination.
• To fulfil contracts and engagements with clients, crew, talent, and vendors.
• To invoice, pay, and keep accounting records.
• To respond to inquiries and requests.
• To operate, secure, and improve this website.
• To meet legal, tax, and record keeping obligations.

BT Studios operates an operational text messaging program for production communication.

What we send. Booking confirmations, call times, location and parking details, schedule changes, and wrap notices. These are operational production messages. This is not a marketing program and we do not send promotional texts.

How you opt in. You start the conversation. Text START to (781) 475-7018 from the mobile number you want us to use. We never add a number that has not texted us first, and we do not import numbers from any list, form, or third party.

Consent is not a condition. Agreeing to receive text messages is not a condition of being hired, booked, engaged, or paid by BT Studios. If you prefer email or a phone call, tell us and we will use that instead.

How to opt out. Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting that number. You will receive one confirmation message and nothing after that. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@btstudios.com or (781) 475-7018.

Message frequency. Frequency varies by production. Typically 2 to 6 messages per shoot.

Cost. BT Studios does not charge for these messages. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

Mobile data sharing.

No mobile information will be sold, shared, rented, released, or traded with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and service providers strictly necessary to transmit the messages you have requested.

We share information only as follows.

• Service providers. Vendors who host our site, send our email and text messages, process payments, and keep our books, acting on our instructions.
• Production partners. Clients, agencies, crew, and vendors on a specific production, and only the information needed to run that production.
• Legal requirements. Where required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, our people, or the public.
• Business transfers. If BT Studios is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

Mobile opt in data is excluded from every category above except the messaging providers strictly necessary to deliver the messages you asked for. We do not sell personal information.

We use encryption in transit for data sent to and from this site and our systems, and we limit access to personal and financial information to the people who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what we hold.

We keep information for as long as the engagement lasts, and afterwards for the period required by tax, accounting, and legal record keeping rules. When a phone number opts out of text messages, we move it to a suppression list and keep it there so it is not messaged again.

• Text messages. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
• Email. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or ask us directly.
• Cookies. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies in their settings.

This site links to other websites, including client and partner sites and social media. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before giving them information.

This site and our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Where minors work on a production, their information is provided and managed through a parent or legal guardian.

We may update this policy. The current version is always posted here with the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be reflected in that date.
